Man this is seriously late. Really sorry.
AKB48 will be invited as Official Guests of Honour for Anime Expo 2010. The event is held in the Los Angeles Convention Center from 01 - 04 July. The members will also participate in attendee panels, meet-and-greet sessions and autograph sessions. They will also perform live in the Nokia Theater (capacity 7,000) on Thursday, 01 July 2010. Nokia Theatre is the same place where they hold the American Idol finales. This will be their 4th concert overseas (not counting Cannes), and their 2nd one in the United States with the first being New York Anime Festival last year.
Girls attending are:
A - Kuramochi, Kojima, Sashihara, Takajo, Takahashi, Maeda Atsuko, Maeda Ami
K - Akimoto, Itano, Oshima, Ono, Nito, Fujie, Minegishi, Miyazawa
B - Kitahara
The schedule for AKB is:
Thursday 9:00 - 10:30AM : Opening Ceremony
Thursday 4:00 - 6:00PM : AKB48 Concert at Nokia Theater
Friday 11:00AM - 12:30PM : Question and Answer
Congratulations Americans... You get your second AKB concert all in one year. So freaking jealous. Why can't they come to a closer country. Yeah I know the Thailand concert failed but still they could come to Singapore... Anyways have have while you can, and take loads of pictures to share to us miserable folks.
I'm quite disappointed with the lineup. Half of Team A and half of Team K will go to AX10, but only one Team B member will go? So Team B will hold the fort back in the Don Quixote like NYAF, then why is Kitarie there? I don't get it. And Amina doesn't go. Still I'm happy that Mocchi and Ami will be going.
And I hope you guys going will have lots of post-concert depressions :) .

I was reading that and I was seriously thinking of going (flying from hawaii) but then I saw the line up for Team B. As much as I love Kitahara, she's no Amina, Kasai, Mayuyu, Sumire, or Yukirin. Fail. the face of AKB48 is going (and to me that's Takahashi, not Maeda hehe)
